Messier Hunting List

This table is based on a page by Tony Flanders here. I’ve adapted it to serve as a record of Messier Objects I’ve photographed. The original is keyed to descriptions of the objects arranged by the season when they are best observed. I’ve cut out a number of columns and added others. The column S70 is Tony’s rating of observations through a 70mm scope under suburban skies, ranging from 1A for easy to find and spectacular to 5D for very tough and nearly featureless. The key to his columns is here. The last three columns are mine for season, observation date, and my rating(1-10) through my William Optics Z61.
